Argumentum ad Hominem
is a fallacious argumentative strategy whereby genuine discussion of the topic at hand is avoided by instead attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument.


Empirical adequacy
if all of what it says about observable aspects of the world (past, present, and future) is true.
Argument should be empirically adequate, i.e. it should hold for things we observe.
Logical Consistency
no contradiction to what they are saying. If P is true, then they should not say that ~P is also true.

Circular reasoning
Logical fallacy in which the reasoner begins with what they are trying to end with
